Coffee is one of the precious joys of life, especially when you're struggling to kick start your day. Making cold brew at home has become one of my favorite weekly routines. On those hot summer days there is nothing better than a refreshing, iced cup of coffee.

I especially love cold brew because it tends to be less bitter and is much easier on the digestive system. I also prefer the taste, and the fact that it doesn't get cold and lose it's pizazz after 5 minutes like hot coffee does! After the addition of a plant-based milk and some incredible ingredients, your daily coffee becomes a powerhouse of beneficial & healing elements. Best of all, it tastes amazing!

Please enjoy my favorite Golden Milk Latte. Let it boost your energy & mood, and help you start your day off right.

What You'll Need

  • ¾ cup nut or plant-based milk of your choice
  • 1 tsp. pure maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
  • small grind of fresh black pepper (for maximum turmeric activation)
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds (optional)
  • ⅛ tsp. ground cardamom (optional)
  • ½ cup cold brew coffee (check out our easy recipe here) or use store-bought
  • ice cubes

Making Your Latte

The trio of magical spices in this recipe always evokes something deep inside, just waiting to be awakened. Cinnamon, Turmeric and Cardamom, three amazingly beneficial and uplifting spices, instantly make one feel better, in body and in mind. Mixed with a quality nut milk, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, chia seeds and some strong cold brew, this recipe couldn't be any more perfect.

First, prepare your ingredients, and get your blender ready.

All you need to do is add everything, except your coffee and ice, into your blender, and blend well. If using chia seeds, it may take a high-power blend for these to fully break down.

Take your favorite glass or mug, pour the cold brew over ice, and add your turmeric-milk blend into your coffee.

Stir, and enjoy immediately.

I hope you reap the benefits of this delicious, healthy, and most importantly, caffeinated golden elixir! This recipe has truly changed the coffee game for me, and I hope it inspires you to add these essential spices into your daily routine for an overall better wellbeing.

Cheers & Be Well,

Kristina
